Children & Teens’ Parties

Salsa-tropical Company based in London offers busy parents a unique idea to make their child’s birthday special, fun and exciting.

Disco Dance Party
Children need can benefit tremendously from working/dancing together as part of a team: leader and follower, improve fitness, coordination, having fun with music.

Maria says:

I felt there was a gap in the party market for children to do something with Salsa.”Salsa can be a solo, partner and/or group activity, it is a wonderful way for children to practice and/or develop team spirit and social skills.Salsa teaches kids about rhythm, musicality, diversity in a fun environment.Salsa-tropical teaches Rueda de Casino, Bachata, Merengue and Salsa, which is a fantastic way to join the group together as one listening to the Happy Music of Salsa and following the calls of the moves …children really love it! In some ways, dance has the same effect as other physical activity because it releases the same endorphins, or feel good chemicals.
What about running a birthday party for your child and getting them dancing together, learning steps and having fun?

June 2009Maria has worked with us for two-day workshops over the last two years as part of our Creative Arts project on Latin America. Our year 8 students have loved every minute and become really involved in the dancing – both boys and girls. Maria is a patient and motivating teacher and we are already looking forward to the next event.

The children had a lovely day learning the salsa steps according to Puerto Rican salsa style. They threw themselves into the routine, trying their best to get the moves down to a T. They loved the competitive aspect of it as well!

Thank you very much for the best party I’ve had before, it was a great success and all my friends were impressed and they also learnt a few salsa moves. However I don’t think they have quite mastered them yet!! I will always be happy to recommend salsa as a birthday theme.

Lana and Nora

Thank you for yesterday. The girls really enjoyed it and you and your assistant were very good with them. I appreciate you arriving in plenty of time as well. Thanks again for coming out – the girls had a great time and it all went very well.

Vanessa

I wanted to say a very big thank you! The children had a wonderful time yesterday and you really created a lovely atmosphere – we hope to see you again sometime, my husband even said he might like to take lessons!

Melanie

I just wanted to give a big thank you for your work over the last 2 days at Warlingham School. It was so obvious that almost all the pupils really enjoyed themselves – only those very silly kids who wouldn’t join in properly missed out. You worked extremely hard and everyone had positive things to say. I hope we work together again.
