Maria says:

"Salsa is meaningless when it just becomes a sequence of moves to lead and follow. The social aspect only flourishes when the dancers, leader and follower, are sensitive or present with each other and the music and it will flow as one. Music+ dance+ 2 people as 1."

"Leaders need to Practice and Practice and Practice!! That is the only way to improve"

"Leaders/gentleman need to Master your Skill of Leading with precision, clarity, firm, control and ease! It is necessary lots of work/practice to become a fine leader "

"Followers/ladies need to Practice and Practice and listen to your partner. It is fundamental to develop technique, control, to be able to do spins/turns, partner work, style and musicality"

"In other words salsa dance should be about connecting = dancing with each other and just flow (for leader and follower)."

"Dancing for me is about feeling. Feeling my partner, feeling the music, being present and having Fun!"

"The best joy of Salsa for me, is to be able to be playfully, sensual, expressive and connect with the music and my partner!"

" The Fine Leader interplays with Music+ Moves and Partner"

"Listening to the Music is a must for all"

"Consisitency of training and dancing is essential for one's development"

Maria teaches with these principles in mind and it becomes fun and human!
