Become A Salsa Instructor

I think that Salsa-Tropical's Teacher Training Course is excellently designed to help you make the difficult transition from salsa dancer to teacher.

The course combines practical training with written tasks, both of which I found to be extremely beneficial to my learning.

The private tuition with Maria allowed me to develop my technique as a dancer as well as learn how to vocalise and demonstrate my knowledge to others. The course also provides a vast amount of information on the history of salsa dancing, music and Latin culture which is not only interesting but provides you with essential background knowledge to help enrich your classes.

The best thing about the programme for me, was being given the opportunity to train over a long period of time with Maria and the rest of the Salsa Tropical team, assisting with teaching the classes, until I felt confident enough to teach a class myself.

I finished the course and have continued to work with Salsa Tropical for the past 2 years. Maria has not only provided me with the essential skills needed to structure and teach classes, but she has also become a close friend who has helped me learn how to run my own business as well as being a constant source of advice, guidance and support.

I thoroughly enjoyed the whole learning process and would definitely recommend doing the teacher training course with SalsaTropical.

In my opinion the teacher training Maria offers is excellent, she is more than just a teacher giving you lots of information. She is there for you as a friend and to share with you her experiences and knowledge of Salsa-Tropical as a Higly Professional Company.

I whole-heartedly recommend completing a teacher training course with Maria Palmieri and Salsa-Tropical. The syllabus was totally thorough and comprehensive; the style absolutely professional; the structure helpfully flexible, and the process was fun throughout.

I loved how the range of written assignments made me think about, research and analyse salsa and salsa performing in a different way. The practical assignments increased my dancing experience, both leading and following, and added new dimensions and insights to my ever increasing knowledge. Plus, the wealth of CDs and DVDs I received on the course were a hugely important and helpful resource.

Maria is patient, professional, very knowledgeable and experienced, and has been a great teacher, manager and friend to me. Teacher training with Maria Palmieri of Salsa-Tropical was a great experience. I have danced for many years and have always wanted to teach.

The Salsa-Tropical training appealed to me as it seemed more comprehensive than other training programs which are on offer in London, such as “learn to teach in one weekend” I actually think that is impossible!

I valued the one to one time I spent with Maria, but Maria also offers invaluable practical experience which you just can’t do with out.
