Keith's CV
I have been on the Salsa scene for 9 years, and still enjoy the buzz it gives me.
I love the way the dance is interpreted by the dancers on the dance floor which looks and feels very passionate with a sense of togetherness. My tutors have been:- Nelson Batista, Elder Sanchez, Robert Charlemagne, including intensive workshops led by The Salsa Brava Dance Team (LA's finest), Nelson Flores Y SU Descarga Latina dance team of New York (It Takes 2 to Mambo), was also invited as a guest dancer by Nelson Batiste on the Esther Ranson show for national television in 1999. Also dancing and demonstrating Bachata at the Holiday & Travel Show NEC Birmingham March 2006 for the Dominican Republic Tourist Board with dancebachata.co.uk.
My style of dance is a cross between Cuban, LA, Mambo and Puerto Rican, which I believe could be classed as London salsa as Londoners are taught a variety of different styles like me; however my style is mainly of Cuban origin.
My teaching started with an invitation from Alca Salsa two years ago, teaching beginners and improvers and is very rewarding to see steady progress with correct footwork, timing and techniques.
I have taught regularly at the following venues;
