Leonardo's Salsa CV

Leonardo has relocated to the UK from Cuba where he worked as a professional dancer. He trained at the Tropicana Cabaret School of Dance, Santiago de Cuba and subsequently worked as a professional dancer in the world famous Tropicana cabaret.

Performed fourteen shows which each incorporated 11 different dances, e.g. Modern, Classical, Classical ballet, Latin American (merengue, Cumbia, Mozambique, mambo), rumba and Cuban rural dance Performed at a high level e.g. before the President of Venezuela. Also taught tourists resident at the hotel salsa, son, mambo, cha cha cha, afrocuban dance and rumba. Professional dancer for dance company “Plasita” (part of Tropicana School of Dance) in the Carnival of Santiago of Cuba for eight years. This Carnival is second only in the world to the Brazilian carnival. 2007 Performed as a dancer in the video for an international HIV AIDS awareness campaign. Also featured on the website of Tropicana Santiago Cabaret.
